The Old Fashioned Cocktail is a slow, but rewarding drink. It is a drink to be enjoyed in the evening after a stressful day at work. It featured heavily in the US TV Series Mad Men and was a drink enjoyed by one of the lead characters ‘Don Draper’.
Ingredients
- 2-3 shots of Whisky
- Few drops of Angostura bitters
- Water/ Ice
- Sugar
Old Fashioned Cocktail Recipe
- Line the bottom of your glass with sugar (1 tsp granulated sugar), before adding a few drops of Angostura bitters.
- Mix this with a few drops of water and ice.
- At this point you have the option to add orange peel, I think this adds a nice touch to the drink, but it tastes perfectly fine without.
- Add the Whisky, mix and enjoy.
