The Sidecar Cocktail is a perfect blend of sweet & sour. It’s a mix of Cointreau, Cognac and Lemon juice and can trace its roots back to London in 1922, so it’s certainly a cocktail classic!
Sidecar Cocktail Ingredients
- 20 ml Cointreau
- 10 ml Lemon Juice
- 30 ml Cognac (We used Hennessy Very Special Cognac)
- A twist of Lemon peel to garnish

Only five steps to make the perfect Sidecar Cocktail!
- Add ice to a cocktail shaker.
- Measure and pour the ingredients into the shaker.
- Shake the shaker hard for around 2 – 3 minutes until the outside of the shaker turns cold.
- Double strain into a martini glass.
- Garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
