There are some drinks that signal a specific time of year. While a hot toddy is for the depths of winter, the Azalea cocktail is the new drink for in town for spring and the start of patio season.

This cocktail is the official drink of The Masters golf tournament, served to the crowds at Augusta National. But you don’t need to be a golf fan to appreciate this one. It’s incredibly refreshing, tart from the lemon, fruity from the pineapple, and has a beautiful pink hue to it.

FAQs

What is the real Masters Azalea cocktail recipe?

Augusta National keeps its exact specs a closely guarded secret, but this combination of gin, lemon, pineapple, and grenadine is the widely accepted classic. Our version leans a little more towards the pineapple for that true tropical, garden-party feel.

Can I use Vodka instead of Gin?

You absolutely can. Swapping the gin for vodka turns it into an “Azalea Vodka Collins”.

What if I don’t have Grenadine?

If you don’t have Grenadine, a tiny dash of raspberry syrup will do the same job.
