FAQs
Can I swap tonic water for soda water?
Absolutely—soda water will give you a lighter fizz. If you miss the bitterness of tonic, add a tiny pinch of salt or a splash of bitter aperitif to balance it.
What can I use if I don’t have fresh basil?
Fresh basil is ideal for its bright, herbal aroma, but you can substitute mint for a different twist. Alternatively if using dried herbs, steep them briefly in the lime juice and strain out before building the cocktail.
