Golden Spiced Orchard Cocktail Ingredients
Alcohol
- 40 ml Golden Rum (We used Bumbu Craft Rum)
Juices, Sodas & Syrups
- 80 ml Clear Apple Juice
- 10 ml Winter Spice Syrup (see recipe below)
- Soda water to top up
Fruit & Other
- Orange slice to garnish
- Apple slice to garnish
- Slices of fresh ginger
- Cloves
- 100g caster sugar
- Cinnamon stick + for garnish
- Star anise + for garnish
Golden Spiced Orchard Cocktail Recipe
- To start off you need to make the winter spice syrup. To do this, combine equal parts sugar and hot water in a pan.
- Add the cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves and fresh ginger to the pan and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
- Once dissolved remove from the heat and let the spice steep for 30 mins.
- Double strain the pan contents into a jar and store in the fridge until you are ready to use.

- Fill a glass with ice.
- Add the rum and clear apple juice to the glass and give the contents a stir.
- Add 10ml of the winter spiced syrup to the glass and top up with the soda water.
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick, star anise and orange and apple slices.
- Serve, sip and enjoy!
