Black Russian

The Black Russian Cocktail, is the older brother of the White Russian Cocktail.

This cocktail was first created in 1949 by a Belgian barman, who created it at the Hotel Metropole in Brussels in honour of Perle Mesta, who was at the time United States Ambassador to Luxembourg. The cocktail owes its name to the use of Vodka (which is typically a Russian spirit) and the blackness of the coffee liqueur.

You can also turn the Black Russian into a Dirty Black Russian by adding Cola.
