The Appletini Cocktail also know as an Adam’s Apple Martini or an Adam’s Apple, was invented on the Fourth of July weekend in 1997, at a restaurant in West Hollywood called ‘Lola’s’. The owner asked bartender Adam Karsten to create a cocktail from a bottle of Ketel One vodka and a bottle of Sour Apple Pucker schnapps. Both the vodka and schnapps weren’t being used too much and they wanted to put them to good use, and so the Appletini was born, and was originally named Adam’s Apple after the bartender.

Note: this recipe includes Sugar Syrup. You can check out our simple How To Make Sugar Syrup recipe to make it from scratch.

Ingredients

  • 2 shots x Vodka (of course we had to use Ketel One Vodka).
  • 2 shots x Apple Juice (we decided to use 1 shot of Apple Juice and one shot of Absolut Apple Juice to give it a more punchier Apple Vodka taste)
  • 1/4 shot x Lemon Juice
  • 1/4 shot x Sugar Syrup
  • Garnish with a slice of Apple.

Appletini Cocktail Recipe

  1. Core the pineapple and cut into 3cm chunks.
  2. Add ice to a cocktail shaker and then add the Vodka, Apple Juice, Lemon Juice and Sugar Syrup to the shaker and shake until the outside of the shaker feels very cold.
  3. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a slice of apple.
  4. Sip and Enjoy!
